New treatment — opening soon
Light as a treatment
Photobiomodulation uses red and near-infrared LED light to support tissue recovery. No heat, no pain, in sessions of 20 to 30 minutes.
I am currently testing the device on myself before opening bookings.
Three wavelengths, three depths
Blue
465 nm
Works at the surface. Used for the skin, in particular acne.
Red
640 nm
Reaches the first layers of the skin. Used for healing and skin quality.
Near-infrared
880 nm — invisible to the eye
Penetrates the deepest, down to muscles and joints. Used for pain and recovery.
What happens during the session
An LED panel is placed a few centimetres from the area being treated. The light is absorbed by the cells, which use it to produce more energy. That extra energy is what supports the natural processes of repair and reduced inflammation.
There is no heat, no UV radiation and no particular sensation. You stay dressed over the untreated areas, lying down or seated, and you can carry on with your day immediately afterwards.
Photobiomodulation has been studied since the 1960s and is used in physiotherapy, dermatology and sport. It does not replace medical advice.
What it is used for
Two main families of use, chosen together during the first session.
Pain and mobility
- JointsKnees, shoulders, hips, hands — everyday stiffness and pain.
- TendinitisElbow, shoulder, Achilles tendon, wrist.
- Back and neckMuscular tension, lower-back and neck pain.
- RecoveryAfter sport or a muscle injury.
Skin
- AcneBlue and red light combined.
- HealingSupport for skin repair after a wound or a procedure.
- Skin ageingFirmness, fine lines, radiance.
- Alongside another treatmentPhotobiomodulation can be combined with an Ayurvedic massage or an energy healing session.
How a course of sessions runs
First session
We go through the area to treat, your history and what you expect from the treatment. Then a first exposure.
Setting up
The panel is positioned over the area. Protective glasses are provided if the face is treated.
20 to 30 minutes
The light does the work. You feel nothing in particular — many people simply relax.
Following sessions
48 to 72 hours apart, short, without a new intake. The rhythm is what makes the difference.
Prices
Photobiomodulation works as a series of closely spaced sessions. The protocols reflect that.

Precautions
Photobiomodulation is well tolerated. A few situations should be mentioned before the session.
- Pregnancy
- Photosensitive epilepsy
- Taking a photosensitising medication (some antibiotics, acne treatments, etc.)
- Cancer under treatment, in particular on the area concerned
- A recent tattoo or an unassessed open wound on the area
Please mention them when booking. I assess each situation during the first session and adapt the treatment, or point you towards another treatment if needed.
