    Colour therapy

Colour as a language for the body

Chromotherapy uses coloured light projected onto the body to support relaxation, energy and inner balance. A gentle, non-invasive approach I have been working with for years.

    The principle

Every colour corresponds to a specific wavelength. Projected onto the skin or onto one area of the body, it is received by the organism as information rather than as a simple visual sensation.

In a chromotherapy session I choose the colours according to what you are going through: restlessness, fatigue, tension, trouble recovering. You stay clothed, lying down, in a quiet room, and nothing about it hurts.

Chromotherapy is a wellbeing approach. It replaces neither a diagnosis nor medical treatment.

    What each colour carries

A traditional reading, which I adapt to each person rather than applying as is.

    • RedStimulates, warms, sets things in motion again when everything feels stalled.
    • OrangeOpens, comforts, supports drive and creativity.
    • YellowClarifies, lightens, helps with concentration.
    • GreenBalances, soothes, brings you back to centre after a busy period.
    • BlueCalms, cools, supports sleep and nervous tension.
    • IndigoRe-centres, slows the mind, invites inwardness.
    • VioletDeeply soothing, associated with letting go.

    How a session unfolds

    Conversation

We talk about what brings you here and how you feel before choosing the colours.

    Settling in

You stay clothed, lying down comfortably, in dimmed light.

    Exposure

The colours are projected onto the chosen areas in sequences of a few minutes.

    Coming back

A short rest before you leave. You resume your day immediately.

    What it is used for

    • Stress, restlessness, difficulty winding down at the end of the day
    • Poor sleep quality
    • Fatigue and low drive, especially in winter
    • Nervous tension and a need to re-centre
    • Alongside an Ayurvedic massage or an energy treatment

Chromotherapy combines very well with another treatment in the same appointment. We discuss it together when you book.

    Where the path led

    From colour to LED light

Working with colour, one question kept coming back: how deep does light actually reach into the tissues? Chromotherapy works on how you feel and on overall balance. That matters, but it says nothing about depth.

That is what led me to photobiomodulation. There it is no longer about coloured atmosphere but about measured wavelengths — red at 640 nm, near infrared at 880 nm — that reach muscles and joints and support tissue repair. The same idea, light as information, with an intensity and a precision documented by research since the 1960s.

So my practice has evolved: I keep colour for what it brings to calm and balance, and I am adding photobiomodulation for joint pain, tendinitis, recovery and skin.
